What is Traveling Tails Inn (TTI)?
Traveling Tails Inn is a 24 hour supervised kennel-free Doggy Daycare facility that also offers Boarding, Grooming, & Training services. What sets Traveling Tails Inn apart from other Doggy Daycare facilities?
Traveling Tails Inn offers 24 hour supervised kennel-free quality care for your pups as well as the convenience of live webcams via travelingtailsinn.com in which you can log on at anytime, anywhere and watch your pup have fun - - its addicting! TTI also has certified dog trainers available 7 days a week. What is Doggy Daycare?
At Traveling Tails Inn, doggy daycare is a kennel-free opportunity for your pup(s) to socialize, exercise, & learn all day with friends while you're away at work or just out doing errands. Pups are in supervised play areas by size & temperament and will enjoy regular activities such as playing ball, Frisbee, ropes, swimming in the bone-shaped pools or sunning on the decks, free time to just play with pals or take a quick pup nap, & much more. My dog would LOVE doggy daycare! How can he/she participate?
All new pups must be spayed or neutered, be up-to-date on all vaccinations (rabies, distemper-parvo, & bordetella), current on flea, tick, & heartworm preventative, as well as attend a 1/2 Day Meet & Greet evaluation. The Meet & Greet is an opportunity for your pup to work with one of our trainers to be introduced slowly, one-at-a-time, to dogs in our daycare program in order to establish them in the pack without being overwhelmed or stressed. The Meet & Greet is a 4 hour evaluation in which parents bring pets in, fill out a guest registration & service agreement, ask questions if any, and then return at the end of the Meet & Greet period to pick up your pup(s). A tour of the facility will also be available for parents either prior to or following the evaluation period. My dog is just a puppy and hasn't been altered yet, but I need a place for them to stay...
Puppies under the age of 7 months, who have not been spayed or neutered, will be allowed to participate in our daycare or boarding programs as long as they are up-to-date on vaccinations & attend a Meet & Greet evaluation. Puppies can also hang out with staff away from the daycare environment per owner's preference. How can I see my dog on the webcams?
Parents can visit travelingtailsinn.com & click on LIVE CAMERA'S. From this screen you will be able to click through the 8 different cameras available to view your pet. If you'd like to use a Smart device you'll have to visit your App store and download the App first. Search: Online Doggy and the app is called odoggy. Once downloaded you'll have to sync the app with our facility and then you'll be able to view your pup! When can my dog come & play?
TTI's regular business hours are weekdays 6am-6pm & weekends 7am-5pm. These hours are applicable all year round & do NOT change even on Major Holidays. Can my dog come & play on Holidays?
Absolutely! TTI is open during regular business hours on ALL Holidays! My dog is weather sensitive; can he/she still come & play?
TTI's facility provides heated & air conditioned play areas as weather dictates us to do so. The pups LOVE to play outside, so if there is not a weather advisory for our area and temperatures are NOT extreme then pups will have access to play inside & outside as long as weather permits. If weather conditions require us to play inside, potty breaks are given every 60-90 minutes. What is the procedure in the case of severe weather?
TTI staff will ensure that pups are not allowed outside in such conditions & if the threat is a tornado, pups will be taken to holding spots away from exterior walls & windows. What are the benefits for me & my dog at TTI?
Pups will enjoy a day of fun socializing, exercising, & learning how to be a part of a pack. We are a kennel-free facility offering a place for pups to have fun and be cared for as our own family while parent's are away or busy for the day. TTI pups play ALL DAY with no required breaks away from the group. Breaks are available upon request by parents for pups who have special needs. Our Daycare program also consists of a Daily activity schedule that offers hourly activities that includes: free time, ball play, learning basic manners with pack interaction, working with timid pups to become more comfortable in the pack, and of course hugs & kisses throughout the day for all the pups we care for. When you pick up, whether at the end of the day after work or just a half day of errands, your pup will be ready for a nap & you can enjoy a relaxing evening. Once dogs have passed their Meet & Greet evaluation, they may attend our Daycare program without a reservation. When can I schedule a FREE Meet & Greet for my pup?
Evaluations can be scheduled seven days a week. Just call TTI, 659-2366, & request a Meet & Greet evaluation appointment and we'll match your schedule to that of one of our trainers who conduct all of the evaluations. Meet & Greet evaluations do require a $10 deposit upon reservation. What happens with the pups who stay after daycare hours?
Dogs scheduled to board at TTI will enjoy dinner as soon as all daycare pups have gone home at the end of business hours. It is during this time that they will have their own suite to sleep & eat & rest from a full day of play. Pups are let out for a final potty break between 9:30pm-10:30pm followed by a good night's rest in their suite. Staff members are onsite 24 hours a day and do regular checks on all pups throughout the night to make sure all are content & will let any pups out who are not used to going all night without a potty break. What if my plans extend beyond regular business hours; can I still pick up my dog?
Yes! Because we provide staffing 24hrs a day, we can make arrangements for you to pick up your pup after regular business hours. Providing this service only requires a $15 late pick up fee per dog, Call TTI when you're about 10minutes away (or just arrived), & present a Photo ID verifying you are the pups parents or authorized persons. What is your grooming procedure at TTI?
When a pup comes to TTI for bathing services, they will enjoy a refreshing bath which includes: nail trimming, ear cleaning, & good brush out. They will be hand dried unless this makes them uncomfortable. If this drying process is not ideal for them, then they will be placed under fans to dry in order to prepare their coats for the finishing processes. Upon completion of the bath, pups will enjoy continued playtime in the Pampered Parlor play area so they can still have fun & stay fresh or play in the daycare group per owner request until parents/guardians pick up My dog does not like to be kenneled; what is TTI's policy on kenneling?
TTI is a kennel-FREE facility. Parents are welcome to bring their pups crate or kennel if they feel the pup(s) will be more comfortable sleeping in their own accommodations instead of TTI Suites. I think my dog would benefit from daycare, but not sure I can bring him every day.
No problem! Parents who take advantage of Daycare packages will find comfort in the fact that these packages can be used as half or full days, whatever works best for parents schedules and last up to 6 months from the point of purchase. Just let reception staff members know upon check-in if your pup will be staying all day or not. TTI is open seven days a week, including major holidays, for your convenience. Does TTI offer dog training?
Absolutely! CertifiedTrainers are available seven days a week and customize training to your needs whether it is In-Home behavioral issues or your pup just needs to attend a Basic Training or KinderPuppy Class. Plus pups receive free training while attending daycare! Call for more information or to register for any of these training services. If my dog has medical needs, can TTI accommodate him/her?
YES, TTI staff will administer medicines as needed per parents request with no fee. Parents must supply their pets with all required medicines & give thorough instructions as to what amounts & what time of day they are to be administered as well as any extras needed to administer the medications (ie: peanut butter, cheese, pill pockets, etc). I've never boarded my dog before, should I bring anything?
Parents will need to bring food that is pre-bagged for each dog they are bringing to ensure their pup will receive the exact amount they receive at home. (if eats twice/day then put breakfast in one zip-lock baggy & dinner in another zip-lock baggy). In addition to food, parents should bring any medicines the dog(s) will need while you're away as well as any bedding they typically sleep on, & any treats you'd like them to have. (TTI does not provide any treats due to allergies). How is it possible to have so many dogs in one area together & play nicely?
TTI Staff are diligent in creating a calm energy & understanding canine psychology regarding the pack mentality. Dogs by instinct are pack animals and knowing how to communicate with them allows them to be a part of a pack and understand that there is already a pack leader which is the supervising staff members' position in the group. Parents can ease their dogs overexcitement or anxiety by walking them into the building calmly and allow TTI staff to walk the pups to daycare calmly. What is the procedure if my dog becomes ill?
Parents will be contacted immediately in the event of an incident or their pup is exhibiting any signs of illness or (ie: vomiting, diarrhea, unusual demeanor, etc). TTI staff will take appropriate steps to address the dogs health needs until parents are able to pick them up or will take them directly to vet per parents request or severity of health risk. |
